Full-Stack Developer

Hi! My name is Tim, and I'm a full-stack developer based in London. Three years ago, I made the decision to study a web development bootcamp at Le Wagon, and here I am now!

In a relatively short period, I've progressed to the point where I was able to develop and ship a web app independently using Java 8, Spring Boot, MySQL, and AWS for hosting. As for front-end, I'm skilled in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery and React.

Outside of work, I'm passionate about foreign languages and travel — I've lived abroad in France, Spain, Portugal and Australia. Nowadays, I also like to spend my time trying out new recipes, reading books and watching movies.

I find the logical challenge of back-end development really satisfying. It's a great feeling when I can find the solution to a tricky problem.

Some achievements I'm proud of:
  • 👨🏼‍💻 Independently developed a web app using Java 8 Spring Boot, which now generates significant revenue for the company.
  • 🚀 Shipped this app by setting up an AWS server and MySQL database.
  • 💭 Used historic data to find customer retention rate, a problem that my team had been struggling with for a while.

Wordle Clone

Built in React

I wanted to get some hands-on experience in React, so I recreated one of my favourite word games: Wordle! This mini web app is designed to mimic Wordle closely in most ways - except you can play as many times as you like in a day. I developed my skills building custom React hooks, working with JSON servers and the implementation of the Effect hook.
